Welcome Gatillo de Eco! Echo (barn name) is a registered paso fino gelding. My plan is to raise him in natural horsemanship principles, do some competing and see where things go from there.

The
Spring Open House was a great success! Congratulations to Riley E. for winning the door prize t-shirt and Jill N. won the free horsemanship lesson!!

   What is Natural Horsemanship?
NH is a teaching/training method that among many things focuses on communicating with the horse through body language. By using this body language, which is natural for a horse, one builds a partnership with the horse that leads to a trusting relationship. The relationship is #1!

Some great feedback from a happy student's mom:

Just a note to say how much Riley is enjoying the lessons. She has made several comments about the lesson with Katy where she learned about horse behavior and gaining trust. She got a lot out of that lesson. Her second lesson with Katy she learned about herself and how important balance is.

It's obvious y'all know what you are doing as each lesson builds on the other. You are really giving Riley a very strong foundation. Well done and thank you!

**What should you expect in lessons?

I am here to help you form a partnership with your horse. I will teach you how to read your horse's body language. I will teach you how to speak to your horse through your body. According to Pat Parelli, "Body language is the universal language".
I can teach you this form of communication with your own horse or one of mine. I have horses for you to learn from if you do not have your own.
A lesson with me might include learning how to ride with no reins, learning how to ask your horse to work through obstacles, and learning what it means to ride with contact. All lessons begin with preparation from the ground meaning a student would work with the horse from the ground to make sure the horse is paying attention and is ready to communicate with you, to learn, to or work. Once this has been established, then you ride. I will also teach things such as health, proper grooming, and the basics of the various specialized disciplines that are out there.

Look through my website. There are 4 pages - home, information,

pictures & stories and favorite horse websites.  If you like what you

see, send me a message at

knichoalds@gmail.com.  I would love to help

 you!
